Jordan Moser & I built my friend Han this custom silver dining table out of recycled metal, plastic & mirrored “trash” materials I’d been collecting. Han approached me about making an art piece for her new place and I told her I wanted to make something that would be useful for years to come rather than a static art piece that would hang on a wall or be put in storage.
We agreed on a dining table which needed to be custom fit to small dimensions for her place and we selected a silver palette from my sacred trash hoard. Thus my *years* of collecting old kitchen supplies & other broken silver shiny objects and cookie packaging had finally come to good use!
